Today, the handset maker listed the Galaxy J3 Emerge on its official U.S. website. Three versions of the device are available for purchase, all three with the same specs configuration: Sprint, Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile.
Customers can choose either of the three variants, but the price will remain the same: $234.99. However, it's worth noting the Best Buy is offering the Galaxy J3 Emerge as well, but you can get the Sprint model for free on $7 monthly fees for 24 months. The US retailer confirms the smartphone will arrive in stock on January 23, but Samsung doesn't mention a release date. Keep in mind that you can only pre-order the Sprint model from Samsung's online store, the other two carrier-bounded models are available through Best Buy for now.
Samsung Galaxy J3 Emerge is more of an entry-level handset rather than a mid-range one. It comes with a 5-inch display that supports HD (720p) resolution, as well as 5-megapixel rear-facing camera and 2-megapixel selfie snapper.Hardware-wise, Samsung's smartphone is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, coupled with 1.5GB of RAM and 16G storage (expandable via microSD).
The phone ships with Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system right out of the box, and it's powered by a 2,600 mAh battery.
