Skype developers announced integration of its Business app with iOS devices using Apple's CallKit framework a while ago, but little info was unveiled as to how this will work and are its real benefits.

Today, Microsoft released an in-depth details on how iPhone users can take advantage of Skype for Business integration with iOS CallKit. First of all, iPhone users will now be able to accept an incoming Skype for Business call right from the lock screen.

All Skype for Business calls will now appear and work just as regular cellular calls, which means you can now see the caller's name on the lock screen.

The integration also enables users to switch between calls across Skype for Business, personal cellular line and other VoIP apps that support CallKit. While talking on Skype for Business, you can send any incoming cellular calls to voicemail or put the Skype for Business call on hold and accept the incoming cellular call instead,

The integration with CallKit comes with a range of built-in IT and users controls, which are enabled by default for all iOS app users. These will allow you to disable the CallKit integration. IT admins can disable the integration for their users as well.

In order to benefit from all the Skype for Business integration with iOS CallKit new features, you will need to update to the latest version through App Store.
