FCC approves Nokia quad-band phones - E61 and 6125

May 2024 · 1 minute read

The FCC pages showed two of the Nokia's “world” quad-band GSM phones getting approved for the US market. The two phones features music players supporting various formats for playback and have expandable memory. The E61 also has 3G, but it is only 2100MHz UMTS and not 850/1900MHz used in the U.S.

On the other hand the 6125 is a nice clamshell phone with EDGE support, and shares most of the 6136's features, which will probably be offered by T-Mobile, when they launch their UMA service.
