Combining what we've learned from Conflipper with everything else previously released, we get the following picture of the two models. Thanks to Microsoft's purchase of Sidekick producer Danger, Microsoft's PMX team has been calling the shots using assets picked up from the acquisition. The main carrier for the CDMA versions is Verizon although other carriers are on board. The camera on the Pure is 8MP while the Turtle carries a 3.5mm audio jack and a 5MP shooter. As we showed you on the FCC label for the Turtle, Sharp is the manufacturer and both phones are branded with both the Sharp and Microsoft names. With a focus on the youth market, parental controls are on the phones. The OS is not Windows Mobile 7, and will not look or feel like it despite sharing the same kernel. The UI is written in Silverlight and uses Seadragon. There will be Zune HD software under the hood and integration with Xbox. Unified messaging is part of the experience and both phones will have their own launch party. According to WMPower User, the Turtle and Pure will not show their, uh...faces at MWC which means it might be next month before we hear anything new about the duo.
