We're not that far from Mobile World Congress now, and while Samsung's Galaxy S7 and S7 edge are the subjects of particular excitement, Sammy will have a few other exciting announcements up its sleeve. In the tablet department, we've already heard that a refresh to the Tab S2 range could be on the cards, and now, a new 7-inch version of the Galaxy Tab A has been leaked. Notably, the slate looks set to lose its S Pen and could gain an improved resolution display, though the specs will remain relatively modest. German blog WinFuture, the source of many a leak in recent times, has the scoop on the new Galaxy Tab A 7.0. Under the hood, it's expected to pack Samsung's own quad-core Exynos 3475 clocked at 1.3 GHz, accompanied by 1.5 gigs of RAM and a 4000 mAh battery. Though a slight performance bump compared with preexisting members of the Tab A series, it's still fairly standard mid-range fare. The 7-inch display looks poised to boast an 800 x 1280 resolution. While it's not full HD, it's not a terrible-sounding offer for a middle of the road slab, and it is, at least, an improvement on earlier Galaxy Tab A models. Currently, this particular product line is occupied by versions with 8.0-inch and 9.7-inch displays, though it's not known whether Samsung plans to make any changes to either. The Wi-Fi edition is said to carry the model number SM-T280, while a further LTE variant (SM-T285) will also be available. As with most of Samsung's upcoming products, a March / April release is being suggested, though we should know more on the other side of Samsung Unpacked on Feb 21st. 

The Wi-Fi model should arrive at the equivalent of $189, which seems quite an attractive price. Those seeking LTE will have to stump up quite a bit more, though, with the cellular edition expected to retail at around $245.
